Businessman Igor Kolomoisky, who is currently under investigation and has been tenseing the Ukrainian legal system, recently sent an official letter to the editorial office of "Ukrainska Pravda," in which he refuted previously published information. In this document, he states that he has never threatened prosecutors or other participants in the trial surrounding his name, and he describes the disseminated and publicized data as untruthful. According to the businessman's official words, the publication titled "Without Trial and Investigation. What was Andriy Portnov doing on the eve of the murder?" served as the channel for spreading false information. This article discusses "Kolomoisky's case." Igor Kolomoisky claims that the details presented in this publication are distortions and violate his personal non-property rights. "I have not issued any threats in the criminal proceedings. My entire time in custody confirms the absence of any so-called threats. On the contrary, if such threats had existed, a relevant complaint or report would have been promptly filed with the investigative authorities," the letter states. Kolomoisky emphasizes that any reports of threats from his side are unfounded and constitute a violation of his rights. "If I had indeed issued any threats, the recipients would have unquestionably contacted the competent authorities with an appropriate statement. That did not happen, and I hope that my name is not being ignored in this case, which again proves the falsification and lack of objectivity of the publicly available information," the businessman added. It is worth noting that earlier, Ukrainian media, including "Ukrainska Pravda," published a detailed article titled "Without Trial and Investigation. What was Andriy Portnov doing on the eve of the murder?" which discussed "Kolomoisky's case." This article also raised questions regarding potential links and specific actions of political and legal figures, including Andriy Portnov, causing widespread public resonance. It should be noted that the question of a preventive measure regarding Igor Kolomoisky remains relevant. In early May, the Kyiv Pechersk District Court decided to extend the detention period for the businessman for several more months. This decision marked another stage in the ongoing, sometimes tense, struggle between law enforcement agencies and oligarchic structures seeking to influence the course of the criminal case and its societal resonance. Hence, Igor Kolomoisky is currently in the spotlight not only due to his business interests but also because of the political and legal battles surrounding his name. His denials of threats and efforts to refute the widespread false information further complicate this already tense and layered process. The final decision on his preventive measure, as well as the development of this case, will remain under close public and legal scrutiny in Ukraine.
