The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports significant activity by Russian occupiers along all main front lines as of the end of the third day, Tuesday, May 28

According to the military authorities, Ukrainian defenders have successfully repelled hundreds of enemy attacks, including 197 attempts at breakthrough and offensive actions, indicating high tension and intense situation in the combat zone. Operational information states that the enemy carried out large-scale missile, aviation, and artillery strikes on the positions of our troops and populated areas across almost the entire front length. The most active situation remains in the directions of Pokrovske, Lyman, and Toretsk, where Ukrainian defensive forces managed to hold their positions and destroyed a significant amount of enemy equipment and personnel. According to the official summary, since the beginning of the day, hostilities have developed into 197 separate combat engagements. The enemy launched two missile strikes and 60 air attacks, using 3 missile and dropping 114 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, Russia used 1,205 kamikaze drones to strike Ukrainian positions. Moreover, over 4,000 artillery strikes were conducted, demonstrating a systematic approach to destroying Ukrainian defensive lines and infrastructure. The most tense situations remain at the frontline positions in the directions of Pokrovske and Lyman. The occupiers made 52 assault and offensive attempts near 14 settlements, including Myrolyubivka, Myrne, Lysivka, Zorya, Rusyn Yar, and others. Airstrikes were carried out on cities and villages such as Dovga Balka, Zorya, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Myrnohrad, Pokrovs'k, and Sukhyi Yar. Ukrainian forces in response destroyed 143 enemy combatants, including 97 irrecoverably, as well as seven vehicles, five motorcycles, and 16 unmanned aerial vehicles. On the Lyman front, Russian troops recorded 24 attack attempts aimed at breaching Ukrainian defenses near settlements like Ridkodub, Kolozyi, Nadiya, Hrekyivka, and Serebryansky Forest. On the Toretsk direction, 21 enemy penetration attempts were recorded near Toretsk, Diliiivka, Drazhby, as well as Pleshchiivka and Oleksandro-Kalynove. Near Kramatorsk, Ukrainian forces stopped 15 enemy attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses in areas around Mar'kove, Predtecha, Chasiv Yar, and Bilia Hora. In the Novopavlivka direction, defenders repelled 14 attacks near settlements such as Kostiantynopil, Bahatyr, Novopil, Zelene Pole, and Vilne Pole, as well as in the directions of Voskresenky and Odradne. Enemy airstrikes also targeted Zaporizhzhia, Komar, and Myrne. No less active was the Russian effort on the Kupiansk direction, where 8 attempts were made to push Ukrainian units out of their positions near Zahrizove and Zelene Gai. On the Orikhiv direction, six combat clashes occurred near Shcherbakiv, Stepy, Novodanylivka, and Robatyne, one of which is still ongoing. In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy made three attempts to breach Ukrainian positions near Verkhniokamianske and Hryhorivka. In the Siverskyi direction, three attacks were halted near Verkhniokamianske and Hryhorivka. In the Prydniprovs'kyi area, Russians conducted two attacks which were repelled by Ukrainian forces. In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy conducted an airstrike on Malynivka. Overall, on the Kursk direction, 37 clashes were recorded in a day, during which Russians carried out 193 shellings, including three with multiple launch rocket systems. They also used 16 airstrikes with 30 guided bomb drops, reflecting the ongoing large-scale artillery and aviation activity by the enemy in eastern and southern Ukraine. In total, these data demonstrate a high intensity of combat operations and the resilience of Ukrainian troops across various frontlines. The defense is holding, the forecasts remain tense, but Ukrainian defenders are exerting maximum effort to prevent enemy advances and maintain control over strategic positions.
