According to the diplomatic mission, this information is inaccurate and distorts the true situation. Official statements from the Ukrainian embassy indicate that reports in the press about the allegedly canceled participation of President Zelenskyy in an important award ceremony for the Charlemagne Prize in Aachen are unconfirmed by any official sources. The message emphasizes that Ukrainian high-ranking officials have not made any decision to refuse or temporarily postpone their participation in the event due to any “threats of a Russian attack.” A source from "European Pravda," citing the press service of the Ukrainian diplomatic office, highlights: “As far as we know, there are no grounds for such claims. The President of Ukraine plans to continue his delegation visits according to the pre-agreed schedule, and today’s participation of the Ukrainian delegation in the event remains unchanged.” It is also added that any information about the supposed cancellation of the visit is unfounded and could only mislead the public and distort the important diplomatic communication. The large-scale international event associated with the awarding of the Charlemagne Prize regularly gathers representatives of European politics and culture. It is one of the most prestigious awards in Europe for contributions to regional integration and cooperation. According to the planned schedule, the Ukrainian leader was to participate in the ceremony, which holds significant political and symbolic importance for reaffirming Ukraine’s support from the European Union and partner countries. However, rumors circulating in the press about the alleged refusal or reduction of the visit caused a wave of discussion and surprise in diplomatic circles. Against the backdrop of active military operations and ongoing threats from Russia, such information raised additional concerns regarding the safety conditions for Ukrainian leadership abroad. Currently, Ukrainian officials insist that there are no risks for Zelenskyy’s participation in the event in Germany and that all planned diplomatic activities will proceed according to the established schedule. Overall, this situation underscores the importance of careful verification of information, especially during active military conflicts and diplomatic maneuvers. Only official sources can prevent the spread of disinformation and maintain trust in Ukrainian diplomatic institutions on the international stage.
