Russian military forces carried out another strike on the Mykolaiv region, resulting in a devastating missile attack on a farm in Horokhivska community
According to official information from regional authorities and military officials, this intentional attack led to tragic consequences, including the death of one worker and injuries to three others, who are now fighting for their lives in local hospitals. According to Vitaliy Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, the attack was carried out using a ballistic missile, indicating the seriousness and deliberate nature of the enemy's actions. This is not the first time Russian forces have targeted infrastructure and agricultural enterprises in the region, causing significant damage to the economy and the lives of local residents. Eyewitnesses report that the explosion destroyed part of the production buildings, damaged equipment, and destroyed several cultivators. However, the main impact was on the people working in the fields. As a result, one of the injured—a 51-year-old worker—had no chance: he died quickly en route to medical facilities. The other three victims sustained severe injuries and had to be urgently evacuated to nearby hospitals. Medical personnel are currently doing everything possible to stabilize the condition of the injured and prevent further complications. The injured have varying degrees of trauma, and specialists are working to save their lives and eliminate health risks. The scene of the tragedy is currently surrounded by law enforcement officers and military specialists, who are examining the aftermath of the attack and documenting damages. Witnesses report hearing a loud explosion that destroyed buildings and caused panic among workers and local residents. Residents of Horokhivska community are outraged and frightened by the possibility of further shelling, as such actions by Russian forces seriously threaten the lives and property of local inhabitants and undermine the recently restored agricultural sector of the region. Last year, Mykolaiv region faced a number of similar attacks that damaged the agricultural sector and threatened the region's food security. Amid growing tensions and regular aggression by our eastern neighbor, regional authorities call on residents to remain vigilant and follow safety recommendations. Officially, a criminal proceeding has been initiated for a terrorist act, and investigative actions are underway to establish all circumstances of the tragedy. This is not the first such attack recently, and it once again reminds us of the human casualties and destruction brought by Russian aggression.
