Over the past 24 hours, the situation in Dnipropetrovsk region has once again been tense: the war continues to disrupt peaceful life in the area, causing extensive damage and leaving wounded individuals
On May 29, Russian occupiers intensified their activities in the southern part of the region, conducting another wave of shelling, primarily in the Nikopol district. As a result of the attack, two civilians—a man and a woman—were injured of varying severity and were hospitalized with injuries. Serhii Lysak, Deputy Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that enemy attacks targeted several communities in the area, but Nikopol and its surroundings sustained the most hits. According to him, from morning to evening, the region was under fire from Russian rockets and drones, utilizing artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles. "The Marganetska, Pokrovska, and Chervonohryhorivska territorial communities experienced the heaviest strikes today. The occupiers deliberately attacked with drones and artillery, causing significant destruction and human losses," he commented. It is noted that residential and infrastructure objects were damaged as a result of the shelling. An administrative building, a five-story apartment block, two private houses, and an object that was previously unused, as well as six vehicles, were affected. Additionally, several greenhouses were destroyed, and a municipal enterprise was damaged. The injured are currently receiving medical care and will be treated outpatient; there is no threat to their lives. Besides Nikopol, Russian forces attacked the Hrushevska territorial community in Kryvyi Rih district. Details of this operation are currently being clarified, but it is known that the enemy continues targeted pressure on various settlements in the region, destroying homes and undermining the resilience of the peaceful population. Overall, in the past 24 hours, the situation remains tense, and despite the efforts of Ukrainian troops to defend this part of the region, destruction and human losses are becoming increasingly evident. Residents of the region are once again faced with the reality of war—they await new attacks and are calling on authorities to strengthen security measures.
