The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has warned the public about possible temporary disruptions in the operation of service systems due to scheduled technical works

It is officially announced that, in connection with the need to update and optimize key components of the National Information System, short-term failures may occur in the work of the MVS service centers, as well as in online resources used for obtaining various administrative services. The source of this information—the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine—confirmed that the temporary system outages are caused by planned technical measures aimed at improving security and service efficiency. This particularly concerns the functionality of the National Information System, which facilitates data exchange between different divisions and services of the MVS, as well as allows citizens to access administrative services through online platforms. The expected disruptions may affect both the operation of service centers in reality and the functions of online services, notably in the "Diia" app and the Driver's Cabinet. Specifically, residents of the country may encounter difficulties in taking and passing theoretical and practical exams, registering and re-registering vehicles, as well as in scheduling and changing vehicle users. Additionally, work is ongoing to maintain the integrated system of the Unified State Register of Vehicles and the Administrative Violations Register. This may cause temporary unavailability of functions such as driver's license replacement, car sharing, license plate booking, and other services that rely on the MVS digital platforms. It is important to emphasize that experts assure all measures are aimed at improving system performance and increasing their reliability in the future. The public will be informed of the exact timing for the full restoration of services through additional official channels. Furthermore, it should be noted that in January 2025, the Main Service Center of the MVS of Ukraine was headed by a new leader, which marks an important step in reforming and modernizing the citizen service system. This gives grounds for hope for improved quality of provided services and faster responses to any technical challenges that arise during modernization efforts.
