Russian military forces have once again launched strikes on Sumy region, hitting civilian infrastructure in the Okhtyrka community

As a result of the nocturnal attack that occurred on May 27, several civilians were injured, and residential vehicles and other infrastructure objects were damaged. According to the latest data released by the regional state administration and the prosecutor's office, two adults and a minor girl were affected by this missile strike while traveling in a car at the time of the attack. Regional authorities inform that Russian troops used a guided aerial bomb: the strike took place around 11:20 a.m., and preliminary information indicates that it aimed precisely at civilian infrastructure. Authorities report three injured individuals: a 44-year-old man, his 41-year-old wife, and their 17-year-old daughter. All of them were in a vehicle at the moment of the strike. Since the attack caused destruction and damage to vehicles, it is evident that the military targeted civilians, continuing their terror against peaceful Ukrainian residents. Search and rescue operations are currently underway, and the situation remains tense. Representatives of the Okhtyrka community and law enforcement agencies are working to establish the exact consequences of the attack and to clarify all circumstances of the incident. Authorities urge local residents to stay cautious and follow safety recommendations. This is not the first such attack recently, which once again demonstrates the cynicism and brutality of Russian aggression against peaceful Ukrainians in Sumy region.
