According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, meteorologists forecast that by the end of May, heavy precipitation will persist over most parts of the country, with thunderstorms and strong winds occurring in some areas. As stated in the official announcement by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, moderate rain is expected in most regions on May 28, except for the eastern areas. Significant rainfall, capable of causing difficulties for residents and agricultural producers, is possible in the Carpathians, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as in certain districts of Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions. Meteorologists say that nighttime temperatures in the western regions will fluctuate between 7-13°C, with daytime temperatures ranging from 13-19°C. Across the rest of the country, including the north and central areas, nighttime temperatures will be between 12-18°C, and daytime temperatures will range from 18-24°C. In the east and southeast, temperatures may rise to a maximum of 27°C on warm days. Winds are predominantly southeast, shifting to northwest, with gusts reaching 15-20 m/s in certain areas such as the Carpathians and Left Bank regions, creating additional challenges. City residents of Kyiv can expect showers during this period. On May 28, a moderate rain is forecasted, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 13-15°C and daytime temperatures rising to 20°C. A southeast wind blowing at 7-12 m/s will add to the atmospheric tension and unpredictability. From May 17-18, little change in conditions is anticipated: short-term rains and thunderstorms are expected in most regions. In the western areas, nighttime temperatures will again remain between 7-13°C, and daytime temperatures between 13-19°C. In other parts of the country, temperatures are expected to be in the range of 12-18°C at night and 18-24°C during the day, with possible rises up to 27°C in the east and southern regions. In Kyiv, short-term rain is forecasted on May 29, with nighttime temperatures around 13-15°C, and daytime temperatures rising to 18-20°C. Southeast winds at 5-10 m/s will once again create unpredictable atmospheric conditions. On the next day, May 30, the capital is expected to have cloudy weather with breaks in the clouds, short-term showers, and daytime temperatures around 20-22°C. A westward wind at 7-12 m/s will further enhance weather fluctuations, and residents are advised to prepare for sudden changes. Overall, this period is characterized by significant fluctuations in weather conditions, requiring Ukrainians to be especially vigilant and to prepare in advance for possible unexpected rainfall and cold nights. The western and northern regions, as well as Kyiv, should consider this dynamic in their plans, particularly those engaged in agricultural activities or planning outdoor activities.
