In Ukraine, significant rains and variable weather are forecasted: what to expect this week

The coming days in Ukraine are expected to be quite unpredictable — meteorologists forecast mostly rainy weather, which in some areas will become quite intense and bring substantial precipitation. This was reported by the Ukrhydrometcenter, warning of unstable atmospheric conditions that could significantly impact residents' lives in various regions. According to experts, in the upcoming days, the country will experience rains of varying intensity: in the western and central regions, rain, sometimes heavy, will occur from the evening of May 27 and continue into the start of next week. At the same time, precipitation is almost not expected in the eastern and north-eastern regions, where it will remain predominantly dry. Source: Ukrhydrometcenter, direct quotes: "Unstable weather is expected. Rains will occur, on May 27 in Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernivtsi regions, as well as at night in Kyiv. On May 28, rains, especially in the Carpathians and Prykarpattia, will become more significant." Meanwhile, no precipitation is anticipated in the eastern and north-eastern regions during this period. Regarding temperature, nights will stay fairly cool — within +12…+18°C. During the day, the air will warm up to comfortable +18…+24°C, with in the eastern and north-eastern regions, daytime temperatures rising to +23…+29°C. On the western side of the country, the nights on May 27 will remain cool — +6…+12°C, and daytime temperatures will reach +14…+20°C. Similar temperature patterns will be observed in Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions. As for wind, a predominantly south-eastern direction will prevail, while in the western regions, it will be north-western. During periods of active rainfall on May 27-28, in the Left-bank Ukraine and eastern regions, gusts of wind could reach 15-20 m/s, which may contribute to storm warnings being issued. In Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, Tuesday will also bring rain. According to forecasts, the temperature at night will fluctuate between +14 and +16°C, while during the day, thermometers will rise to around +22°C. The wind in Kyiv will be south-eastern at a speed of 7-12 m/s. The following day, Wednesday, is expected to be another rainy day, with nighttime temperatures of 14-16°C and daytime highs up to +20°C. In summary, Ukrainians should be prepared for changeable and quite unexpected weather. Bad weather does not promise a lull, and residents are advised to prepare for possible showers, high winds, and temperature swings. This period will be a time for active adjustments in everyday planning, equipped with umbrellas and warm clothing.
