On the night of May 25, Ternopil was once again struck by Russian military attacks
According to Vyacheslav Negoda, the head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, explosions occurred in the city at 02:56 a.m., caused by a missile attack from the aggressor. Specifically, a Kalibr cruise missile complex was shot down in the industrial zone, resulting in the destruction of one of the enterprises and a large-scale fire on its territory. Negoda stated that during the attack, the industrial building of the enterprise was damaged, leading to an open fire. Firefighters are working at the scene; in some sections of the workshop, there is ongoing burning in isolated areas, covering a total area of about 1,000 square meters. Rescue services are making maximum efforts to extinguish the fire, with firefighting equipment operating around the clock to combat the flames. The head of the Regional Military Administration also added that several homes in neighboring residential neighborhoods were damaged as a result of the enemy attack, including broken windows and damaged facades. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties among local residents so far. At the same time, it should be noted that the consequences of the missile attack have caused significant psychological and material shocks for Ternopil. This is not the first time the city has been targeted by missile strikes from Russia, highlighting the increasing tension and the challenging situation in the region. Ternopil, like other cities in Western Ukraine, remains in a zone of risk, and local authorities and security services are actively working to mitigate the effects and protect the population. Kremenchuk rescuers, local police, and the military administration are intensifying security measures and ensuring rapid response to any new threats. The current main priority is to extinguish the fire, prevent further destruction, and save residents' lives.
