Massive Night Attack on Dnipropetrovsk Region: Destruction, Fires, and Infrastructure Damage – Enemy Actions’ Consequences
On the night of May 24-25, a large-scale shelling occurred in the Dnipropetrovsk region carried out by the enemy, who used a wide range of weapons during this attack: missiles, kamikaze drones, aviation bombs, and artillery of various calibers. These attacks caused significant damage to infrastructure, residential facilities, and industrial zones, as well as fires and human casualties, once again confirming the growing threat posed by Russian occupiers to peaceful residents and the region’s economic stability. According to Serhiy Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, the situation remains tense, as the enemy does not reduce the pace of aggression. In his comments, he stated that several districts of the region were affected by the night shelling, including the city of Pavlohrad and coastal communities. Notably, kamikaze drones and missiles targeted the Vasylkivska, Novopavlivska, and Mirivska communities, which are part of the Synelnykove district. Operational forces recorded that one of the "Shahid" drones hit an industrial facility in Pavlohrad, causing a fire that firefighters promptly extinguished. The impact caused a fire in a three-story building, but due to the coordinated efforts of firefighters, the fire was quickly localized and extinguished, preventing further destruction and human casualties. At the same time, the enemy used artillery, aviation bombs, and guided air bombs (KABs) against several communities bordering the Synelnykove district, including Meivska, Novopavlivska, and Vasylkivska. During these shellings, private households, several infrastructure objects, and commercial enterprises were damaged. Specifically, in the Meivska community, a private house was damaged, and a fire broke out at a fuel station after a missile strike. Additionally, two other enterprises vital to the local residents' livelihoods were affected. Another attack zone was the Nikopol region, where military administration officials reported the use of FPV drones, artillery, and munitions dropped from drones by the occupiers. These means are used deliberately to target critical infrastructure objects and residential neighborhoods. As a result of the damage, parts of the city of Nikopol, as well as Marganetska and Pokrovska communities, were affected. According to preliminary data, one multi-story building was partially destroyed, and four private houses suffered serious damage. One private residence caught fire during the attack, which rescue services quickly extinguished. Overall, the night shellings confirmed their destructive power and danger to the peaceful population and regional infrastructure. Authorities emphasize the need to strengthen security measures and protect lives, as the enemy continues to pursue targeted and large-scale tactics of destroying vital facilities and housing across the region. This underscores once again the importance of coordinated efforts between defense forces and rescue services to protect civilians, as well as the necessity of enhanced measures to counter new missile and drone attacks by the occupiers.
