Night attack by Russian invaders once again revealed the vulnerabilities of the capital city — as a result of a massive shelling, 15 people were injured in Kyiv, and a significant part of the city was damaged
According to Kyiv police, the offenders’ efforts were aimed not only at residential buildings but also at infrastructure objects — shopping and entertainment centers, educational institutions, vehicles, and communications. Preliminary information, released by law enforcement authorities, indicates that during the nighttime attack, several residential complexes in different districts — Dniprovskyi, Solomyanskyi, and Obolonskyi — were damaged in the capital. As a result of enemy strikes, not only residential buildings but also critical infrastructure facilities, including boiler houses, shopping centers, educational institutions, and even residents’ personal vehicles, were affected. A large number of fragments from the impacted aircraft entered residential premises, including on the fifth floor of buildings. For example, in the Solomyan district, fragments from a drone struck an apartment, causing a fire. As a result of this incident, seven residents aged between 35 and 63 received various injuries but are currently out of danger. A similar situation occurred in the Dnipro district, where fragments hit an apartment on the fifth floor, injuring a married couple aged 40 and 41. Obolonskyi district also suffered significant damages: the strike damaged several floors of a nine-story building, leading to injuries among residents. Five residents sought medical help due to their wounds. Additionally, in the Holosiivskyi district, another person was injured — further details have not been provided. In total, seven people were injured in today’s attack across various districts of the city. They are receiving necessary medical assistance, and law enforcement is conducting investigations to establish all circumstances. Important information also concerns the damaged infrastructure objects — including educational facilities, shopping centers, and residential complexes — which creates additional difficulties for residents. Recall that this nighttime alert is already the third in a week, when Russian troops carried out massive shelling of Kyiv using drones and ballistic missiles. On May 24, the capital again suffered strikes, causing concern among residents and officials. Despite assurances from the country’s leadership about efforts to equip defenses and air protection systems, the enemy continues to strike, disregarding human casualties and infrastructure destruction. Authorities and law enforcement agencies are working tirelessly to stabilize the situation and urge residents to remain cautious, follow safety rules, and not ignore alarm signals. The government promises to strengthen resistance to aggression and do everything possible to restore and protect the city from further attacks.
