Russian occupiers launched a new attack on the Poltava region, resulting in civilian casualties and significant damage to infrastructure objects

This time, the enemy used drones and artillery weapons, which led to a large-scale assault on one of the region’s industrial facilities. According to official data released on Telegram by acting Head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Kogut, during the massive attack, a building of one of the industrial enterprises was destroyed. Additionally, seven residential buildings located in the Kremenchuk community were damaged. As a result of the explosion, one resident was injured; although medical assistance was needed, the injured person refused hospitalization. Beyond direct damages, the residential sector also suffered, as debris from weapons and building fragments caused damage to power lines. Currently, over two thousand residents in the region are without electricity, including more than 100 legal entities and about 1,800 private households. Furthermore, energy facilities in other districts were targeted — in the Poltava district, approximately 270 subscribers lost electricity due to line damages. Volodymyr Kogut noted that repair work to restore electricity supply is already underway. Relevant specialists are working to quickly eliminate the consequences of the attack and return power to people's homes. Firefighters from the State Emergency Service have already localized the fires at the site of the tragedy; they remain on site to prevent the fire from spreading and to avoid new emergencies. This attack once again confirms the complexity of the military situation and the difficulties in defending a region that is under constant threat from the enemy. Local authorities and emergency response services are working around the clock to minimize the consequences and provide assistance to the injured and affected civilians. Ukrainian defenders and energy workers are making every effort to quickly restore the damaged infrastructure, but shelling continues, creating additional difficulties and tensions in the region.
