According to the official report from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on their Facebook page, Ukrainian defenders once again demonstrated their ability to effectively oppose the aggressor, inflicting substantial losses on the enemy. During this period, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated more than a thousand invaders and destroyed over three hundred units of various military equipment and weapons of the Russian forces. This includes the destruction of armored combat vehicles, artillery systems, missile salvos, and unmanned aerial vehicles used in combat operations across different front zones. Since the start of the large-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, and as of May 23, 2025, total Russian military casualties are approximately 978,700 personnel — with over a thousand new losses reported in the last day, confirming a steady trend of Russian depletion. Additionally, more than 10,800 tanks, about 22,600 combat armored vehicles, over 28,000 artillery systems, 1,390 multiple launch rocket systems, over 36,000 tactical drones, and nearly 50,000 units of automotive equipment and fuel tanks have been destroyed during this period. These figures are still being refined and calculated, but the undeniable fact remains: there is a constant trend of Russian losses of personnel and equipment. The enormous numbers testify to the efforts of Ukrainian defenders, who do not give the enemy a chance for stable advances, demonstrating a high level of combat readiness and professionalism. Ukraine continues to defend its land, holding the front lines and inflicting significant losses on the opponent. Information about Russian military casualties serves as an important signal to Ukrainian society and all defenders regarding the situation at the front and the necessity of supporting the country’s defense efforts in the struggle for independence and territorial integrity.
