On the night of today, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on the region, causing significant destruction and fires. According to the head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, the fiery attack targeted industrial facilities, residential areas, and transportation assets. An official message about the situation appeared on Lysak’s Telegram channel: "As a result of a massive drone attack in Pavlohrad community, an industrial enterprise was damaged. Several fires broke out, which have already been localized by rescuers. It also affected an external structure and power lines. No casualties occurred among the people, and there is no threat to their life and health." Clearly illustrating the extent of the destruction, the regional leader reported that the enemy was neutralized just before the attack: "Overall, during the night, our forces shot down 11 kamikaze drones and other types of drones over the territory of the region." Simultaneously, Lysak noted that the enemy used artillery and FPV drones (functional quadcopters with cameras), dropping a payload from an UAV on Nikopol, setting fire to several private houses and damaging power lines in Nikopol and Marganets. Fortunately, there were no human casualties, but the destruction remains significant. A particularly notable situation unfolded in the Mezhivska community of Synelnykivskyi district, where the occupiers launched a kamikaze drone that destroyed a vehicle and caused a fire. The public in the region remains in a state of tense anticipation of the consequences of the attacks, but a high level of mobilization and bravery of local rescuers has been observed, as they quickly localized the fires and minimized the extent of the damage. According to Serhiy Lysak, this nighttime attack once again confirmed the need to strengthen the defense system and enhance the region’s air defense. At the same time, the Ukrainian army and security services continue fighting against terrorist-aggressors, noting high rates of destruction of drone targets. Evidence of this is that over ten such targets were destroyed last night. Local authorities urge residents to stay alert, follow safety rules, and avoid panic. It is now crucial to remain united and support each other, as the war waged by Russia repeatedly demonstrates its cruelty and ruthlessness. The region remains on high alert, with local services and defense forces working around the clock to minimize the consequences of enemy strikes and ensure the safety of the population. Meanwhile, the international community calls for solidarity with Ukraine in its fight for independence and security, as every new shelling is a reminder of the need for united resistance and global support.
