On the night of May 21 to 22, explosions rang out again in Kharkiv: Russian troops carried out a missile strike on the Kholodnogirsky district of the city, causing damage to private property and injuring some local residents
According to the city’s head, Ihor Terekhov, the missile attack happened during a very quiet night when the city was asleep, and residents were unaware of the impending danger. Preliminary reports indicate that one private residential building was damaged as a result of the strike. One of the residents was injured during the attack, and their condition is currently being clarified by medical personnel. The Kharkiv mayor stated that order in the city is under control, and the emergency services are already working at the site, assessing the extent of the damage and providing assistance to those affected. “In the Kholodnogirsky district,” Ihor Terekhov noted, “a private house was damaged as a result of the enemy shelling. Preliminary information indicates that one citizen was injured. Our services are already working to prevent further consequences and to ensure the safety of residents.” This is not the first time Kharkiv has been targeted by shelling from Russian forces across various districts of the city. Local authorities and rescue services emphasize the importance of remaining vigilant and following all safety recommendations during alarms. Residents are specifically urged not to ignore the alarm signals, evacuate dangerous areas, and to be as cautious as possible.
