Despite short-term rains, the country will maintain a classic spring atmosphere, allowing people to enjoy pre-spring days. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, most regions are not forecasted to experience any precipitation on Thursday. However, in the western areas, particularly in Vinnytsia, and some parts of Zhytomyr and Odesa regions, short-term rain with thunderstorms and hail in some places may occur. Such weather will create the typical atmospheric dynamics for this period, adding vivid accents to the spring scenery. Regarding temperature conditions, comfortable nighttime temperatures are expected to be between 7-12°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to 20-25°C. In Kyiv, on May 22, the weather will be dry with no precipitation, and thermometers will show 10-12°C at night and 22-24°C during the day. This will be a pleasant gift after recent cool days and an additional incentive for walks in parks or active outdoor recreation. It is interesting to note that Kyiv’s historical temperature records show significant fluctuations. According to the Boris Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory, the highest temperature ever recorded in the city was in summer 2007 — when thermometers reached a record 32°C above zero. Meanwhile, the lowest nighttime temperature was recorded as early as 1917, at -1.7°C. Thus, May 22 in Ukraine promises to be quite comfortable and suitable for various outdoor activities. Despite short rains in the western part of the country, the overall mood is that spring is in full bloom, and rising temperatures will promote active recreation and enjoyment of nature.
