Invaders again carried out relentless drone attacks on Kherson and Bilozerka: six civilians injured

On Wednesday, May 21, new missile and drone strikes by Russian forces took place in southern Ukraine, once again confirming their ruthless terror tactics against civilians. According to official sources, a total of six residents of the region sustained injuries of varying severity as a result of the large-scale attacks, serving as a stark reminder of the destructive impact of Russia’s aggression on peaceful populations. An official statement from investigators: “According to preliminary investigation data, on the morning of May 21, 2025, Russian soldiers used drones to strike civilian targets in the Bilozerka settlement in Kherson district. Regarding the crime, investigators have opened a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of the rules of warfare, punishable by imprisonment. Law enforcement agencies are already working at the scene to establish all circumstances and identify possible organizers and perpetrators of these heinous attacks. Later the same day, at 9 a.m., Russian occupiers deployed another drone, directed straight at the center of Kherson. As a result, a 64-year-old man was injured, sustaining blast trauma, concussion, and a head wound. Medical professionals diagnosed minor injuries; the man is currently under medical supervision at a local hospital. This attack is one of many wave of drone assaults carried out by Russian troops to create chaos, intimidate civilians, and exert psychological pressure on local residents. The situation in Kherson Oblast remains tense, and local authorities once again urge residents to be cautious and vigilant amid increased enemy activity. Experts and human rights organizations have already expressed concern over the scale of these heinous attacks and call on the international community to intensify pressure on Russia to put an end to crimes on Ukrainian territory. The international community emphasizes that drone strikes and mass shelling of civilian infrastructure constitute a gross violation of international humanitarian law and human rights. The invaders are once again demonstrating their ruthlessness and cynicism by using drones to attack defenseless people. This new escalation of aggression underscores the urgent need to strengthen defense capabilities and seek ways to end the war. Ukraine continues to fight for its independence and territorial integrity, while the international community calls for intensified sanctions and doing all possible to prevent further violence and destruction. As of now, investigation and prevention agencies are working on the scene, collecting evidence and improving systems to counter such attacks. This situation once again proves that the war in southern Ukraine continues and has serious consequences for peaceful civilians, who face daily dangers and destruction. Authorities and law enforcement urge the population not to ignore alarm signals and to act according to safety recommendations, while global leaders are called to further strengthen support for Ukraine in its fight for freedom and independence.
