Ukraine will experience a series of rainy days with characteristic cool weather, which will last at least until the end of the week
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, almost the entire country will once again be under the influence of atmospheric fronts, leading to regular precipitation and a decrease in temperature. Meteorologists report that as early as Friday, most regions of Ukraine will see short-term and moderate rain. This applies to the northern, north-eastern, western, and central areas, where an active increase in cloud cover is expected. In the western regions, nighttime temperatures will remain between 3-5°C, while during the day, the air will warm up to a maximum of 13°C. In the rest of the country, nights will be cool, with temperatures ranging from 8 to 11°C, and during the day, most regions will see temperatures rise to 16–20°C. Winds during this period will gradually shift from south-western to north-western, with speeds of 5–10 meters per second. Notably, on May 16, in the southern, central, and Sumy regions, wind gusts will reach 15–20 meters per second, adding atmospheric tension and a noticeable freshness even during warm hours of the day. The capital, Kyiv, will also be affected by the rainy front. It is forecasted that on May 16, it will rain, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 6–8°C, and daytime temperatures reaching up to 11°C. The wind will predominantly blow from the south-west at a speed of 5–10 m/sec. The following day, May 17, the country will continue to experience atmospheric showers: throughout the entire territory, rain of varying intensity is expected during the day off. In the northern, central, and southern regions, moderate rain is forecasted, and temperatures will noticeably decrease. In the western areas, Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, nighttime temperatures will be between 5–7°C, with daytime highs reaching up to 15°C; in the rest of the country, nighttime temperatures will fluctuate between 9–12°C, and daytime temperatures will range from 14–21°C. Winds will again shift from south-western to north-western, with speeds of 5–10 m/sec, but gusts may reach 15–20 m/sec in the Left Bank regions. Another adverse day is expected on May 18. According to forecasts, Kyiv will again experience moderate rain. Nighttime temperatures will drop to 8–10°C, and although precipitation will cease during the day, it will remain cool, with temperatures up to 15°C. The wind will predominantly blow from the west at a speed of 3–8 m/sec. Overall, in the coming days, Ukrainians will have to get used to variable, cool, and rainy weather with characteristic wind movement. This is one of the typical features of spring, which requires appropriate dressing and attention to weather forecasts, especially for residents and tourists in regions with mountainous or open terrains. Despite the worsening weather conditions, natural phenomena will lay the foundation for further development of the country's nature and agriculture.
