Vladimir Medinsky emphasized that his delegation views the negotiations as a continuation of "the peace process in Istanbul," assuring that they have all the necessary documents and instructions from the highest levels of the country's leadership to conduct dialogue. At the press conference, the head of the Russian diplomatic team highlighted that his team is focused on finding possible solutions and points of contact between the parties, as well as establishing a long-term and stable peace. At the same time, he stressed that before returning to negotiations, it is essential to eliminate the "fundamental root causes of the conflict," without which, in his words, it is impossible to achieve long-term understanding.
