The incident occurred in the city of Beryslav, located in the southern part of the region, and once again confirms the scale and cynicism of the so-called "punitive" tactics employed by the occupiers against the peaceful population of Ukraine. According to the press service of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Russian forces dropped explosives from an unmanned aerial vehicle on the streets of Beryslav, attempting to create an atmosphere of chaos and to intimidate the local residents. Sources report that the victim was a 71-year-old man who was riding his bicycle at the time of the attack — he became an unintended victim of the Russian provocation while in motion. As a result of this incident, the man was diagnosed with an mine-explosive trauma, shrapnel wounds to the legs, and a concussion. Emergency medical teams, who arrived promptly at the scene, provided immediate first aid to the injured and hospitalized him for further examination and treatment. The man's life is now saved; specialists are making every effort to stabilize his condition and provide the necessary comprehensive therapy. This incident is yet another confirmation of the extent and brutality of Russian tactics in the occupied territories. In Beryslav and nearby settlements, there has been active use of drones for attacks on civilians in recent days. Recently, reports emerged of three residents of Kherson region being wounded as a result of such strikes, including in Bilozerka and Kherson itself. There was also an incident involving a local woman who was blown up on a Russian mine, once again underscoring the cynicism and unprecedented level of danger posed by such devices in the hands of the occupiers. Military experts and communities, which have repeatedly condemned such practices, conclude: Russia does not shy away from using any means of intimidation and destruction of peaceful communities, considering it part of its so-called "civil war." Such tactics not only violate international law but also threaten the lives and health of thousands of peaceful Ukrainians, forcing them to live in a constant state of fear. Despite efforts to halt this wave of terror, the reaction of Ukrainian authorities and law enforcement remains consistent: a continuous investigative and operational group is working, urging local residents to be cautious and report any suspicious objects and situations. The international community also continues to call for strengthened sanctions and ongoing monitoring of those supporting Russia’s aggressive actions on Ukrainian soil. As the war continues, each new case demonstrates that the civilian population remains the primary target for the enemy, who shows no limits in their cruelty. Ukrainians are standing firm and fighting for every home, and stories like this further motivate us all to actively support national defense to stop this destructive wave of aggression.
