According to blogger Olenka Filonova, who published the information on her blog, as well as Ukrainian actor Dmytro Oskin and Maksym Raduцьkyi, Deputy General Director of FC Dynamo Kyiv, May 12th marked a fatal day for the popular artist. They reported that Maksym Nelipa died in combat on that day, though they added that very little is currently known about the circumstances and exact cause of his death. In her post, blogger Filonova noted: "Our colleague, TV host Maks Nelipa, was killed in battle," emphasizing that this news was a heavy blow to the entire Ukrainian cultural community. Meanwhile, Dmytro Oskin shared a screenshot of a post by Nelipa’s wife, Tamara, who confirmed his death and added that there had been little information about his fate for a long time, but now it became clear that he died fighting for his country's independence. Deputy Head of FC Dynamo Kyiv, Maksym Raduцьkyi, expressed his condolences by posting a touching message and a photo of Nelipa, in which he smiles, accompanied by his birth and death dates. His words added even more respect and remembrance for this devoted person who did not remain on the sidelines during his country’s difficult times. Maksym Nelipa is a name well known and respected not only for his work on stage and screen but also for his civic position. Born in Ukraine, he gained popularity as a KVN team member and host of numerous television programs. His voice and charisma were recognizable to viewers, and he actively participated in projects by "Dизель Студио" — one of the most popular domestic entertainment shows. With the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in spring 2022, Nelipa took an important and responsible step — he joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces, becoming part of the country’s defense. His dedication and patriotism earned widespread recognition and sympathy among colleagues, fans, and ordinary citizens. The loss of Maksym Nelipa is not only a tragedy for the Ukrainian cultural scene but also a vivid example of civic courage and sacrifice among those who chose to defend their country during this difficult time.
