Over the past day, Ukrainian military personnel have once again inflicted significant losses on Russian invaders, continuing an effective defensive operation against the aggressor country
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of active actions and combat engagements, Ukrainian defenders have neutralized at least 1,240 enemy personnel and destroyed a substantial amount of their military equipment. Official data indicates that over the last day, Ukrainian forces eliminated 275 units of the aggressor’s military hardware — including combat vehicles and weapons used in fighting against our defenders. This represents a significant increase in the enemy’s losses, which have already been lengthy and destructive. For reference, summarizing the long-term fight since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, as of May 14, 2025, Russian military casualties amount to approximately 969,370 personnel. Among these, additional losses are actively recorded over the past day, demonstrating the resilience and persistence of Ukrainian defense. In addition to personnel losses, a considerable amount of enemy military equipment has been destroyed: according to official figures, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost over 10,804 tanks, with another two tanks eliminated in the last day. Besides tanks, active destruction of combat armored vehicles continues — totaling 22,501 units destroyed, with 14 additional losses reported in the past 24 hours. The aggressor’s artillery systems have also sustained significant damage: a total of 27,827 units have been destroyed, enabling Ukrainian forces to maintain control over the battlefield. Losses for the day increased by 47 units. Furthermore, 1,382 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and 1,165 air defense systems have been destroyed, highlighting the persistent efforts of Ukrainian defenders to eliminate key enemy positions and reduce their capability for active combat operations. Regarding tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), losses have increased by 82 units, bringing their total to approximately 35,860. This is a crucial indicator in the context of controlling the skies and reducing enemy reconnaissance capabilities. Equally important is the technical component — over the past day, an additional 126 vehicles and fuel tankers used for logistics and military operations have been destroyed. Overall, according to updated data, Ukrainian defenders have already destroyed over 48,000 units of vehicular equipment, significantly complicating enemy movement and reinforcement efforts. Overall, these figures demonstrate the unyielding resistance of the Ukrainian military and the systematic destruction of the enemy’s military infrastructure.
