Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Special Operations Forces once again demonstrate their high level of skill and effectiveness in combating Russian aggression by destroying an important and strategically significant Russian Buk-M3 missile system as well as the “Hurricane-1” missile launcher system
According to official sources, these weapon complexes were eliminated by attack drones during a special operation in one of the critical front-line areas. Intelligence and operational reconnaissance by the SOF allowed for the identification of the targets’ locations — two powerful weapon systems that are key elements of the enemy’s air defense. It is noted that the Buk-M3 system has an approximate value of 45 million US dollars, and its destruction represents a significant blow to Russian military infrastructure, substantially reducing the occupiers’ ability to defend the airspace and control vital regions. Special forces operators knew that the enemy would keep these systems on combat duty, as they provide airspace cover and are capable of striking targets not only in the air but also on land and water. Therefore, after conducting thorough reconnaissance, Ukrainian troops employed modern attack drones to engage the targets. It is known that quick and coordinated preparation enabled crews to launch drones that accurately struck the planned targets on the first attempt. Preliminary estimates suggest that the Buk-M3 complex was completely destroyed along with its ammunition, significantly complicating the Russian defense system. Let us recall that on May 12, the command of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces announced another major success — the elimination of eight Russian military personnel during reconnaissance operations. At that time, Ukrainian forces acted along the front line, preventing potential attacks and ensuring the security of their positions. The destruction of high-tech enemy systems such as the Buk-M3 and the "Hurricane-1" MLRS again confirms the high level of training of Ukrainian special operators, their ability to respond swiftly, and to deliver precise strikes against important enemy military targets. This is already the third successful series of operations that have significantly undermined Russia’s military potential in critical front-line sectors and is an important step toward regaining control over occupied territories. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders continue to focus on active actions to weaken the enemy as much as possible and to establish positions for further liberation of Ukrainian lands. The use of modern technologies and the high level of training of special forces operators demonstrate that Ukraine is capable of resisting effectively and inflicting significant losses on the Russian military machine on various front-line directions.
