On Tuesday, May 13, occupying forces conducted several attacks in the Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk districts, leading to serious consequences for the civilian population and infrastructure destruction. According to official information provided by the Prosecutor’s Office of Donetsk region, the situation once again confirms the high level of danger and cruelty of the armed aggression by Russian troops against peaceful civilians. In the early morning hours, there was a large-scale shelling of the private sector in the city of Pokrovsk. Preliminary data indicate that, as a result of multiple shrapnel hits and blast waves, two adults — a married couple aged 54 and 55 — were wounded. Additionally, a 70-year-old pensioner was injured. According to law enforcement agencies, at the time of the attack, they were in their own homes. The shelling caused numerous shrapnel wounds, blast injuries, concussions, and fractures, requiring urgent medical assistance. Due to additional attacks in the village of Novoekonomichne, a 61-year-old local resident was also hurt—his house was destroyed. Details about the weapons used are still being clarified; however, preliminary information suggests that it could have been mortar shelling or munitions used in artillery attacks. The situation further escalated in the Kramatorsk district, where the occupiers employed complex technical tactics to strike targets. In particular, Russian forces used an FPV drone to carry out an attack on the settlement of Illinivka, resulting in another injury — a 51-year-old local resident who was nearby at the time. The second attack caused a shrapnel wound requiring medical intervention. Additionally, Russian military dropped an "FAB-250" type airplane bomb on the village of Vasyutynske, which led to the destruction of private farms and damage to several residential buildings and vehicles. As a result of this attack, a 42-year-old woman was injured, with multiple fractures and bruises confirmed by medical diagnostics. The woman was urgently hospitalized and remains under medical supervision. Overall, the shelling damaged six residential buildings and three cars. Official representatives of the prosecutor’s office and security agencies note that all necessary measures have been taken to document the criminal actions of the occupiers. Law enforcement is working on gathering evidence, and investigative procedures are ongoing to establish the exact nature of the weapons used and the extent of the destruction. Local authorities and law enforcement call on residents to be cautious and adhere to safety measures during this difficult period, as the cynicism and brutality of the occupation army know no bounds. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders continue actively resisting aggression to protect civilians and bring those responsible for crimes against humanity to justice. Regional leadership and law enforcement assure that they will do everything possible to hold the occupiers accountable, and residents will receive the necessary support and assistance to recover from the destruction.
