During the most intense day for Ukraine's eastern and northern regions, when Russian invaders have repeatedly shelled the area, a third attack was recorded in Sumy region using an unmanned aerial vehicle. This time, an innocent civilian was injured as a result of a strike on one of the rural communities in the region. The press service of the Sumy City Council reported on this incident, confirming the scale and deliberate nature of Russian aggression. According to local officials, the attack took place in the Stetskivskyi administrative territory, where Russian drones carried out another targeted strike. As a result of the damage, a man sustained serious injuries and was urgently transported to the hospital, where doctors are fighting for his life. Official sources indicate that the condition of the injured remains critically stable, but all necessary measures have been taken to stabilize his health. This is already the third drone attack in Sumy region in a single day. Earlier on Friday, reports came of destructive strikes in several settlements. For example, in the morning, Russian drones attacked an object in Sumy, causing panic among local residents and damaging private and communal infrastructure. In the afternoon, similar attacks occurred in various villages and towns across the region. It is worth recalling the incident that occurred on May 12. At that time, a Russian drone attacked a vehicle carrying energy company workers in Sumy region. Preliminary reports indicate that the incident resulted in the death of the driver, and three other employees sustained injuries of varying severity. The explosions that occurred then caused significant damage to infrastructure facilities, leaving the region without electricity and creating considerable difficulties for the population’s living conditions. Overall, along the entire front line, including this part of Ukraine, the situation remains tense. Russia aims to create an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty among civilians, deploying drones for targeted strikes on civilian infrastructure and residential areas. Local authorities urge residents to exercise extreme caution, follow safety recommendations, and report any suspicious objects or movements. The situation at the front remains tense: Ukrainian military and security services are actively working to disable enemy drones and minimize the consequences of strikes. Meanwhile, the international community calls on Russia to cease its aggression and adhere to international norms to prevent escalation of the conflict and continue ensuring the safety of the civilian population.
