Russian military forces have once again demonstrated their cynical brutal tactics by attacking a civilian train in Donetsk

According to representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia, a missile or drone attack occurred on May 12 and was carried out by drones that targeted a moving civilian freight train in the Donetsk region. The report states: “Proposals for a ceasefire are being ignored, and the enemy continues to carry out aggressive actions against railway infrastructure and rolling stock.” As a result of the attack, one of the train drivers received shrapnel wounds to the leg, but fortunately, the man's life is not in danger. Medical personnel promptly delivered the wounded to a medical facility, where he received necessary assistance and treatment. According to doctors, his condition is stable, and there is no longer any threat to his life. At the same time, this incident did not stop train operations—despite the danger, the train drivers continue their work with a high level of courage and responsibility. Ukrzaliznytsia's press service emphasized that the efforts of railway workers are aimed at maintaining the stable movement of freight and passengers even under dangerous conditions. Company representatives stressed that Ukrainian train drivers, despite the constant threat to their lives, remain at their posts, working in protective gear such as bulletproof vests and helmets. They are constantly equipped with medical kits and ready to provide assistance if necessary, as preserving transportation logistics at the front is extremely important for the country's defense. This incident once again confirms that the Russians are attempting to destabilize Ukraine's vital infrastructure even in the rear, creating a real threat to the lives of civilians and railway workers. However, Ukrainian railway workers demonstrate unwavering resilience and dedication to their work, risking their own lives to ensure the critically important transportation connection during difficult times.
