Due to inhumane Russian shelling in Kherson region, a 10-year-old girl received serious injuries

In the settlement of Bilozerka, in Kherson region, тревожні новини (distressing news) about the consequences of devastating artillery shelling by Russian occupiers are again heard. According to reports from local law enforcement and official sources, during one of the recent strikes, a child was trapped under the ruins of a destroyed house, and her fate remains uncertain. The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, spoke about this tragic event in his television and radio program, emphasizing that the community has once again had to endure a difficult moment. According to him, in the first hours after the attack, rescue services hurried to the scene and responded quickly to the call. "In Bilozerka, a terrible tragedy occurred due to Russian shelling. During an enemy strike on a residential building that had been damaged in previous shellings, a 10-year-old girl was trapped under the debris," the official stated. Prokudin mentioned that rescue workers promptly conducted search and rescue operations and quickly extracted the child from the rubble. "She was immediately handed over to medical personnel, who recorded serious injuries, including a head injury, leg wounds from shrapnel, and a concussion. Despite the life-threatening situation, the girl was saved, and she is now in the hospital under close medical supervision," the official emphasized. What caused this tragedy? According to the investigation, the shelling occurred on May 11, when enemy forces launched a powerful artillery strike on Kherson and the surrounding Bilozerka area. Preliminary data indicates that the armed formations of the aggressor country deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure, and these actions resulted in extensive destruction and many human casualties. Medics report that not only the child was a victim of this attack: during the shelling, two women aged 57 and 76, as well as a 61-year-old man, were injured. Due to the significant damage to the area, humanitarian services and volunteers continue to operate intensively to provide aid to the victims and prevent further tragedies. It should be noted that the situation in the region remains tense: daily shelling leads to destruction of residential buildings, power outages, and threats to the peaceful population. Local authorities call on residents to exercise maximum caution, while law enforcement and rescue services intensify their patrols and repair damaged areas to prevent further casualties. This news once again underscores the brutal reality of the war and the suffering of hundreds of families who fight daily for their lives and safety. Ukrainian defenders and volunteers sincerely hope for a swift end to the aggression and the return of peace to our land. At the same time, the public is called to unite in the fight against Russian aggression and shoulder-to-shoulder support those affected by this unconventional and terrible conflict.
