Specifically, U.S. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce emphasized in her recent statement on the News Nation channel that the United States believes it is necessary to stop hostilities in order to have the opportunity to return to constructive dialogue and recovery processes in Ukraine. The State Department representative highlighted: "We will continue to assess Russia not by its words but by the concrete actions it takes. This is fundamentally important for our understanding of the situation and for future steps in international policy." She also mentioned that the U.S. and Ukraine have concluded important agreements aimed at supporting the country's recovery. In particular, these include an investment fund financed from profits generated by mineral extraction and other energy sources, rather than from American taxpayers. This allows Ukraine to acquire additional resources for rebuilding efforts without burdening the U.S. budgets. Bruce emphasized that currently, it is about a strategic partnership between Washington and Kyiv, which is growing and strengthening the security of both countries. At the same time, she stated: "We understand that Ukraine needs time and resources for large-scale recovery, but in order to move forward and find a path to stabilize the situation, a ceasefire must be established." According to her, without a prolonged and sustainable truce, it is impossible to create preconditions for long-term solutions and Ukraine’s reconstruction. The United States unanimously asserts that genuine progress in resolving the Ukrainian-Russian conflict requires stopping hostilities and creating conditions for negotiations. They emphasize that any diplomatic agreements must be based on concrete actions by Russia and its readiness to engage in diplomatic compromise. However, without answers regarding the ceasefire, pathways to stabilization, and long-term peace remain uncertain. According to Bruce, the United States actively support Ukraine on its path to recovery and reconstruction, providing financial and investment programs of a strategic nature that contribute to the growth of the domestic economy. Nonetheless, the most critical issue now is establishing peace on the frontlines— a key demand for starting a new stage of cooperation and moving toward long-lasting and sustainable peace.
