Unfortunately, even during the so-called “ceasefire” period, which was supposedly implemented by order of the higher leadership of Russia, the situation in the south of Ukraine remains tense and brutal

In the city of Kherson, which until recently was under occupation, Russian soldiers once again committed an unprecedented act of violence, violating any notions of a ceasefire and humanity. Around 7 a.m. on Saturday, when, according to sources in the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the agreement on a "ceasefire" was set to take effect, Russian troops once again demonstrated their ruthlessness. According to information received from local officials, their drone struck a residential area in the Dnipro district of the city, claiming the life of a peaceful resident. The man, whose name has not been released, sustained severe injuries instantly, and despite efforts by local medics, his life could not be saved. He died at the scene from his injuries, leaving his family and the city's residents in profound shock and grief. This tragic incident once again confirms that "ceasefire" for Russia is nothing more than a maneuver followed by new objectives—spreading chaos and destruction. In addition to the civilian's death, two more cases of injury were recorded in the region on Saturday. Russian occupiers systematically shelled residential neighborhoods, cynically striking private houses and residential areas, destroying not just walls but entire families and their peaceful lives. As a result of these attacks, several private vehicles were also damaged, one of which was deliberately targeted by the Russian invaders. This news once again demonstrates that Russia's "ceasefire" is merely an illusion hiding their true policy—destruction and intimidation of civilians. Kherson remains under fire, and its residents live in constant fear and anxiety. Despite official reports of "cessation of fire," the reality tells a different story — Russian troops continue to destroy peaceful cities, disregarding all international norms and human dignity. This incident once again underscores the urgent need for the international community to increase pressure on Russia to prevent further crimes and protect civilians who face danger every day. Every such tragedy is another proof that peace in this part of Ukraine will remain elusive for a long time under the relentless aggression of the occupying army.
