The conflict escalation continues in Kharkiv region: Russian forces have once again used weapons of mass destruction, causing destruction and human suffering
As a result of another wave of enemy attacks in Kupiansk and its surrounding villages, several civilians have been injured, and the city has been hit once more. According to official information from the Kharkiv Region Prosecutor’s Office, tensions on the front line remain high. Starting at 15:30 on May 10, Russian troops carried out a series of airstrikes using cruise missiles aimed at residential areas of Kupiansk. The attack damaged residential buildings, destroyed part of the civilian infrastructure, and one passenger car parked near a house was burned. A particularly alarming incident involved civilian casualties — two residents were injured as a result of the missile strike. According to investigative data, a 52-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman experienced acute stress reactions due to the explosions and fear for their lives. The ongoing psychological pressure further worsens their health condition, raising serious concern among local medical professionals and law enforcement. A similar act of aggression was also noted in the village of Blahodativka, located near Kupiansk. Around 18:50, Russian forces used an FPV drone — a quadcopter used for target destruction from a distance. It was recorded that the drone struck near residential buildings, heightening the tension in the village. The most vulnerable category of civilians — the elderly — was also affected. A 69-year-old woman experienced a severe shock and currently needs medical assistance and psychological support. Her condition is critical, as a disrupted emotional and psychological balance could have long-term health consequences. Relatives, neighbors, and local authorities condemn this new attack and call for active measures to cease hostilities. Local indifference and law enforcement efforts are focused on gathering evidence and identifying the perpetrators, since these attacks not only destroy homes but also ruin the lives of ordinary people, who deserve protection from the hand of aggression. Official bodies urge residents to remain cautious, follow safety routes, and participate in the most important consolidated efforts to protect civilians. Meanwhile, the region’s inhabitants call on the international community to increase pressure on the Russian leadership to stop further provocations and to ensure safety for every Ukrainian remaining in the active combat zone.
