On the frontline: over 117 combat clashes in a day, with the most activity on the Pokrovsk direction

The situation at the front remained tense and dynamic throughout the past day, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to official figures, there were over 117 combat engagements on Saturday, indicating an increase in activity by Russian occupation forces across various sectors of the front. The most intense fighting was recorded on the Pokrovsk sector, where the enemy made 38 assault attempts in different areas. Ukrainian troops repelled all these attacks in a timely manner, maintaining control over their positions. At the same time, the adversary targeted other strategic directions, deploying a wide array of weapons. In total, during this day, the enemy carried out 36 airstrikes using 51 guided aerial bombs, and launched over 890 kamikaze drones into the sky. The militants also shelled Ukrainian positions with heavy artillery, conducting approximately 2,943 attacks. The Ukrainian army has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to effectively counter the aggressor, destroying equipment and personnel. In the Kharkiv region, Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks from Russian forces in the areas of Vovchansk, Malaya Shapkivka, and Kamyanka. The situation remained tense but under control. Meanwhile, the enemy suffered a setback on the Kupiansk direction, trying to advance near Zahrizove — Ukrainian troops managed to hold back and stop this offensive. The situation was even more active on the Lyman sector: Russian forces attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses six times in the areas of Cherneshchyna, Olyivka, Ridkodub, Novy, and Zelenina Dolyna. Three prolonged engagements were recorded; however, Ukrainian fighters held their positions and prevented enemy advancement. On the Siversk sector, Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled two enemy attacks attempting to move towards Hryhorivka. The enemy exerted efforts to break through the defense but was unsuccessful once again. The Kramatorsk sector remained quite tense: Ukrainian forces repelled seven enemy attacks near Orihovo-Vasilivka, Chasiv Yar, and towards Bilohira, Mayske, and Predtechi. One or more clashes are still ongoing. The Toretsk direction was also highly active, with the occupiers making seven assault attempts in the areas of Druzhba, Toretsk, and around Diliivka. Ukrainian troops successfully repelled all these attacks, remaining in high alert. Particularly intense activity is observed on the Pokrovsk sector, where the enemy made 38 assault attempts. The most heated positions are in the areas of Myrolybivka, Kotliarivka, Myrne, Zorya, and several other settlements. Ukrainian soldiers not only defended their positions but also inflicted significant losses on the enemy: according to preliminary estimates, 69 invaders have been neutralized, and another 32 wounded. Additionally, one vehicle, three reconnaissance drones, and one self-propelled artillery system have been destroyed. On the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy significantly increased activity, making 13 attempts to break through in areas such as Kostyantynivka, Vilne Polye, Pryvilne, and other directions — but Ukrainian positions remained intact. Similarly, on the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian defenders held their positions in areas of Novopol and Novosilky, stopping 11 enemy attacks aimed at assaulting or breaching the defense. Unfortunately, the settlements of Malynivka and Zaliznychne were hit by missile and air strikes. On the Orikhiv direction, the enemy made two attempt to attack in the areas of Stepove and Novodanylivka — both are minor and unsuccessful. A similar situation is observed on the Dnipro direction, where the enemy conducted three futile attempts to break through. Regarding the Kursk sector, since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian defense forces have successfully neutralized 19 enemy attacks, with two more active clashes ongoing. This once again confirms the ability of Ukrainian troops to hold the line and prevent the advancement of occupation forces on strategic directions. Overall, the situation remains tense but under control of Ukrainian forces. New battles and enemy attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses are expected ahead, yet Ukrainian defenders demonstrate resilience and readiness for any scenario. Reports of enemy losses and damages highlight their high level of combat effort, while Ukrainian military personnel show steadfastness and determination in protecting the country’s independence and territorial integrity.
