Starting from May 11, the city of Kramatorsk, located in Donetsk region, will enter a period during which the street lighting will be non-operational. This decision has been made in connection with dusk arriving in the evenings and the implementation of a curfew that restricts residents' movement at night. This information was reported by the news agency "Donbas News," citing the municipal enterprise "City Light," which is responsible for the city's external lighting system. According to representatives of the enterprise, in order to ensure safety and prevent potential emergencies, the municipal company plans to temporarily shut down the street lighting. However, this measure is temporary— the enterprise is using this period to carry out necessary preventive repairs and maintenance of the lighting systems. This will enable the quick restoration of lighting if necessary, preserving the long-term stability and safety of the city's infrastructure. Additionally, it should be noted that on the territory of Donetsk region, especially in areas distant from the front line, including Kramatorsk, a curfew will be in effect from 21:00 to 05:00. This restriction applies to cities and settlements located more than ten kilometers from active combat zones and is part of safety measures aimed at protecting civilians during wartime events. Local authorities and responsible agencies urge residents to be patient and take these restrictions into account in their daily routines and transportation plans. The "City Light" enterprise has already begun preparations for the rapid resumption of the lighting system's operation and assures that all technical measures will be carried out in compliance with necessary safety standards for personnel and residents. It is expected that after the completion of repair and preventive activities, the lighting in Kramatorsk will resume normal operation within the scheduled timeframe, significantly easing residents' lives, helping to avoid unnecessary risks, and increasing safety levels during evening and nighttime hours.
