On the morning front: Ukrainian defenders have once again found themselves at the center of fierce battles, with over 80 clashes reported in the past few hours against Russian occupiers
The war, which has been ongoing on the eastern part of the country for a long time, has once again proven its ruthless nature, as border communities suffer new destruction due to cynical shelling by Russia. The source of this information is the Ukrainian General Staff, which in its morning briefing reported that since the start of the day, 80 active hostilities have been recorded across various sectors of the front. Enemy shelling has led to destruction and casualties in border settlements, particularly in Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Notably, Artemivka, Mykolaivka—both near the border—and Marikhina Buda, Bila Bereza, Ulanove, Baranivka, and Kucherivka have come under fire. The enemy also targets areas near Boyar-Lezhachi, Dorohoivka—these locations have been affected by guided aerial bombs and brutal, cynical strikes carried out by the occupiers. Regarding the situation on specific directions, it raises many questions and indicates ongoing activity and persistence by Russian forces. On the Kharkiv direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled two enemy attack attempts in the Vovchansk area. Heavy fighting continues there, with Ukrainian command efforts aimed at halting the enemy’s advance. On the Lyman direction, the occupation forces attempted nine times to break through Ukrainian defenses near Lypove and towards Hrekivka, Novy Myr, and Zelená Dolina. One more ongoing battle is still unresolved. Particularly active efforts are observed on the Kramatorsk direction, where Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled three attempts by occupiers to advance in the Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, and Kurdiumivka areas. However, four other clashes remain unresolved. On the Toretsk direction, the situation is also tense: the enemy conducted 10 attacks in the Dachi, Diliievka, Shcherbynivka, and Toretsk areas. Five of these battles are still ongoing, indicating systematic and purposeful aggression tactics. The Pokrovsk direction has also seen intense activity: since the morning, the occupiers attempted 18 times to seize Ukrainian positions around Oleksandropil, Novotoretske, Promin, Yelyzavetivka, Dachenka, and Zviriv. Ukrainian forces maintain a clear defensive line, repelling 13 attacks, while five battles are still ongoing. Further away and on crucial sectors, the situation remains tense. On the Novopavlivsk direction, the enemy launched 18 attacks near Bagatyri, Kostyantynopil, Odradne, Rivnopillia, Novosilka, Vilne Pole, and other locations, with attacks ongoing. There are still 11 active battles in this sector. A similar situation exists on the Orikhiv direction, where defenders successfully repelled two assaults near Maly Shcherbaky and Shcherbaky. On the Dniprovsk direction, the enemy made four attempts to advance, but the Ukrainian army holds its positions in three locations. The situation on the Kursk direction remains tense as well—Russian forces have suffered three losses from Ukrainian side, and four other battles are ongoing. In the past day, Russia carried out five airstrikes on Ukrainian objects, dropping a total of nine guided bombs. Additionally, Russia has increased artillery shelling, with 153 enemy attacks on positions and settlements, indicating ongoing tension and dynamic military activity in the region. Overall, the situation remains difficult and tense. Ukrainian defenders are holding the line and have repelled a significant number of attacks, but the enemy continues to systematically escalate its efforts. This indicates that the war is still far from over, and Ukrainian society and the military remain alert to any scenarios for further developments on the front.
