According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre, meteorologists are warning of adverse weather conditions in the coming days, which could significantly affect the daily lives of residents. On May 10th, during the night, the eastern parts of the country, including Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions, are forecasted to have cool weather with temperatures ranging from 2 to 9 degrees Celsius. During the day, temperatures in these regions may rise to 14 degrees, while in the south and east, they could reach up to 17 degrees. In the western areas, northern regions, Vinnytsia, and Cherkasy, light rain is possible during the day, making the weather more variable. At night, in most regions, temperatures will drop to 0-5 degrees Celsius, and in western and Zhytomyr regions, ground frosts with temperatures in the range of 0-5 degrees Celsius (freezing) are possible. Winds during this period are expected to be northwest or west with a shift to north, at speeds of 5-10 meters per second, which will add a sense of coolness in some areas and reinforce autumn-like sensations during the spring season. Regarding the capital, Kyiv, on May 10th, clear weather is expected at night with comfortable temperatures between 5 and 7 degrees Celsius. During the day, light rain might recur, bringing temperatures up to +13 degrees. A west wind at 5-10 m/s will create relatively high humidity and add a fresh atmosphere. On the following day, May 11th, widespread rain is forecasted across nearly the entire country, except for the southeast. During the night, temperatures will again fluctuate between 2 and 9 degrees Celsius, with ground frost of 0-5 degrees possible in northeastern regions. During the day, temperatures will rise to 14 degrees in general, and up to 17 degrees in the south and east. Winds from the northwest or west will weaken slightly, reaching speeds of up to 10 meters per second, emphasizing the changeable nature of the weather once again. Particularly noteworthy is that on Sunday, May 11th, rain is expected in Kyiv, with nighttime temperatures not falling below +5°C and daytime temperatures reaching up to +13°C. Meteorologists highlight that in the Carpathian Mountains, conditions will be even more challenging: wet snow is expected over the weekend, and during the day, rain will prevail. Nighttime temperatures may fall to 0-5 degrees below zero, while daytime temperatures will rise to 2-7 degrees Celsius, adding a unique and complex aspect to this region of the country. The meteorologists' forecasts indicate that the upcoming weekend will be rather cool and wet. Residents of Ukraine are advised to consider these weather conditions when planning walks, trips, or agricultural activities. As the weather will be changing, it is important to be prepared for possible fluctuations in temperature and rain to avoid uncomfortable situations and ensure the safety and comfort of loved ones and oneself.
