Russian occupying forces have once again launched a massive attack on Dnipropetrovsk region, using Kalibr missiles and kamikaze drones, causing new destruction and human suffering

Urbanized areas of the region came under enemy fire once more, leaving local residents in a state of anxiety and uncertainty. According to official information released by Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, on Telegram, on the evening of May 7, the Russians struck Synelnykove district, including the Novopavlivka community. As a result, a 72-year-old woman was injured. In addition to human casualties, four private residential buildings and one grocery store were damaged. Emergency responders and local authorities reacted quickly, but the scale of the tragedy still causes concern among residents. The face of this night was a photograph of damaged houses and a store, posted by Lysak on social media, which confirms the severity of the enemy attack’s aftermath. The extent of destruction in this part of the region still needs to be assessed; however, it is already clear that the tragedy has added new, painful mornings to the lives of local inhabitants. Furthermore, Russian military forces attacked the Velykomykhaylivka community with kamikaze drones, Lysak reports. One private residence was damaged, but fortunately, there were no casualties. Evidence of this attack is also documented in photographs accompanying the official message. The shelling with iron-caliber weapons did not cease, particularly around Nikopol and Marhanets communities. According to Lysak, the enemy deliberately targeted critical infrastructure. Production facilities and private vehicles were damaged in these attacks, but fortunately, there were no human casualties. The strengthening of the region’s defense in response to enemy actions is confirmed by the destruction of a drone over Dnipropetrovsk, carried out by air defense forces of the Eastern Air Command. This demonstrates the Ukrainian military’s efforts to intercept enemy aircraft and ensure the safety of the civilian population. Overall, the situation remains tense. Local authorities, emergency services, and residents continue to tirelessly confront the challenges caused by Russian aggression, suffering losses and destruction but also demonstrating resilience and steadfastness in the fight for peace and security in the region.
