Enemy forces from Russia suffered an unexpected defeat thanks to the efforts of Ukrainian special forces from the GUR, who utilized modern drone technologies to rescue their comrades taken prisoner during the fight
This story once again confirms how effective drone tactics can be in modern warfare, as well as the courage and high professionalism of Ukrainian soldiers, who continue to fight the enemy in the most challenging situations. According to representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, at the beginning of hostilities, Ukrainian special forces from unit "Artan K," part of the GUR MO Ukraine special unit, conducted a sabotage operation at the Russian occupiers’ positions. A group of three fighters embarked on an intel reconnaissance raid behind enemy lines to gather crucial information and strike at enemy forces. Their primary target was the 247th Air Assault Battalion, blinded by war illusions but capable of facing any challenge. During the operation, Ukrainian soldiers encountered a group of Russian paratroopers, who were prepared to meet them at enemy positions. A close-quarters fight ensued — three Ukrainian special forces faced three Russians. What made this encounter unique was the use of an unknown chemical agent against the Ukrainian heroes. As a result of poisoning by an unidentified gas, the defenders of Ukraine lost their ability to stand and fell into captivity. The Russian forces’ retreat from the battlefield was documented with unerring precision. Relevant data was transmitted by GUR aerial reconnaissance units monitoring enemy movements with high-precision equipment. Later, when the Russian paratroopers unexpectedly found themselves in captivity and their group began retreating toward the territories they controlled, Ukrainian FPV drone operators launched a targeted attack to rescue our soldiers. According to the commander of the "Artan K" unit, call sign Favoryt (Favored), the use of FPV drones was challenging but extremely timely and effective. "We targeted the enemy precisely to regain the situation and rescue our comrades — Kets, Anubis, and Klyuchik. First of all, we managed to eliminate one of the Russian paratroopers, immediately removing obstacles for our guys," he explains. Promptly, the drone force destroyed a second enemy soldier who was desperately trying to hide under an old truck. The third Russian paratrooper, crawling under the old vehicle, was swiftly detected and eliminated by Ukrainian FPV operators. Thanks to their precision and fieldcraft, they managed to neutralize him even in the hardest-to-reach locations. After a successful operation, Ukrainian special forces quickly sent a command via drones to execute the final extraction from the occupied territory. The third fighter, who disappeared into the darkness, managed to cover several kilometers on a long and arduous journey and, when the sun rose in the sky, reached his comrades and rejoined the unit, determined to defend his country to the last. This incident is unique not only because Ukrainian soldiers demonstrated a high level of effort and bravery but also highlights the importance of utilizing modern drone technology in the fight against the enemy. Such operations convincingly show that even in the most difficult and risky situations, Ukrainian special forces are capable of achieving victory, rescuing their comrades, and inflicting losses on the enemy. This is yet another confirmation that Ukrainian defense forces are always ready to fight to the last — for their land, freedom, and dignity.
