A tragic incident has occurred in Kharkiv region, resulting in injuries to a minor resident of the area

In the Chuhuiv district, in the village of Zarychne, a child sustained serious injuries during a walk due to an explosion of an unidentified explosive device. According to information obtained from the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, this incident took place on May 8 around 4 p.m. According to investigators, an 11-year-old boy was walking with his friends in an area that is an abandoned construction site in a rural area. It was there that the child found an unknown object, which at this time has not been definitively identified. Unfortunately, before he could understand what it was or pick it up, an explosion occurred, causing the child to sustain severe injuries. The critical moment was when the explosive device detonated in his hands, resulting in serious health damage. Immediately after the incident, the boy was urgently hospitalized, where doctors diagnosed his condition as serious. As a result of the event, the child sustained significant injuries that require ongoing medical monitoring and treatment. Law enforcement officers, including investigators and police personnel, are actively working at the scene, conducting investigative actions and documenting the circumstances of the tragic incident. They are also collaborating with prosecutors’ staff to thoroughly clarify the situation regarding the war crimes committed by the Russian Federation in this region.
