On the evening of May 6, the aggressor's armed forces used so-called "KABs" — cruise and ballistic aircraft missiles, which struck the Pokrovska community in the Synelnykove district, leaving destruction behind and a new level of danger for the region’s residents. According to official data from the head of the regional military administration, Serhii Lysak, 8 civilians were injured as a result of this attack. Two of them are in very serious condition and are currently hospitalized under round-the-clock medical supervision. All wounded have undergone appropriate hospitalization and are receiving necessary assistance. The attack victims suffered significant injuries, including damage caused by the destruction of their private homes and disruption of critical infrastructure. In addition to human casualties, residential buildings were affected in the strike: at least 12 private homes were damaged to varying degrees. The incident site also recorded damage to a gas pipeline and an electrical line, which caused temporary disruptions in gas and electricity supply to the community, complicating the everyday lives and household affairs of local residents. Overall, the situation in the Pokrovska community remains tense and unpredictable. Official sources report that the occupiers used a range of weapons, including kamikaze drones and artillery, indicating targeted actions by the enemy aimed at destabilizing the situation and increasing psychological pressure on the local population. Beyond this massive attack, the situation in the Nikopol district remains tense. Preliminary information indicates that Russian troops again used kamikaze drones and opened artillery fire on residential and industrial facilities of the district center and surrounding settlements. Details about the consequences of this attack are currently being clarified, but it is already evident that none of these provocations go without serious destruction and human losses. Shelling from the occupiers in the Dnipropetrovsk region does not cease, and each new round of attacks brings pain, fear, and destruction to many residents of the region. Local authorities urge fellow citizens to be extremely cautious, follow safety rules, and stay calm during these difficult times. Work is ongoing to restore damaged infrastructure and cooperate with rescue and emergency services for faster recovery to normal life. Amid rising tensions, it is important to remember — unity and mutual support help endure these difficult days and foster hope for a rapid return of peace and stability to our lands.
