During the 24 hours beginning on May 7, the situation on the Ukrainian front became even more tense and dynamic

According to official information published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00, a total of 139 combat encounters took place along the front, indicating a high level of activity by Russian aggressors in various directions. Notably, a significant number of hostilities were recorded on the Pavlohrad direction — here, 40 separate attacks were carried out in the struggle for Ukrainian defenders’ positions. Overall, during the day, the enemy employed a substantial arsenal of weapons: two cruise missiles and another 103 combat aircraft missiles — targeted deliberately at destroying Ukrainian objects and positions. In addition to airstrikes, the Russians launched two missile strikes and deployed over 1,776 kamikaze drones used to attack Ukrainian forces and civilian infrastructure. It is important to note that the enemy conducted over 4,200 shellings in total, including artillery, mortar strikes, and drone attacks simultaneously across Ukraine, demonstrating their high activity and attempt to sow panic. Concerning the front lines, the situation is as follows: on the Kharkiv direction, the enemy did not cease attempting breakthroughs — Russian troops made eight assault attempts near Vovchansk, Vovchanske Khutory, and Kamianka. Activity also increased on the Kupiansk direction, where the Russians tried to break through Ukrainian defenses six times in the areas of Hlushkivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, and Zagradizove. In the Lyman direction, the enemy was recorded in 24 attacks carried out in the areas of Kopanky, Hrekyvka, Kolodiazi, as well as in the directions of Ridkodub, Novy Mir, and Olhivka. The enemy advances in this sector were unsuccessful, but they are increasingly intensifying pressure. On the Siversk front, the enemy made six attempts to breach defenses near Verkhnokamianske and Bilohorivka. Overall, there were shellings and unsuccessful offensive actions by Russian forces—Ukrainian defenders are holding the line and repelling attacks. The Kramatorsk direction was a true battlefield: ten clashes occurred in the areas of Bile Hory, Chasovy Yar, and Predtechyne. The enemy tried to break through Ukrainian positions, but Ukrainian soldiers successfully defended their positions and reduced the enemy’s effectiveness. In the Toretsk sector, hostilities were intense — the enemy launched 11 attacks in the areas of Shcherbynivka, Toretsk, and in the direction of Diliivka. Ukrainian defenders boldly and decisively repelled enemy breakthrough attempts, maintaining control over key points. The most tense situation was on the Pavlohrad direction, where the occupiers made 40 attempts to break through defenses in areas such as Malynivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Zvirove, Udačne, as well as in strategically important regions like Bohdanivka and Andriivka. Ukrainian Army troops demonstrate high resilience and hold their positions under a barrage of Russian attacks. On the Novopavlivsk direction, the enemy attempted 22 offensive actions in the regions of Kostiantynivka, Novosilka, Vylne Polje, as well as toward Novopil, Bakhatyra, and Odradne. Ukrainian fighters successfully hold the line and inflict losses on the enemy in response. In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian defense forces managed to stop the enemy’s advance near Vysoke, which complicates further movements for the Russian forces, as Ukrainian troops prove their ability to prevent breakthroughs. On the Orikhiv front, six attacks were recorded in the areas of Stepove and Kamianske — all of which were repelled by Ukrainian defenders. Meanwhile, in the Prydniprovsk sector, the enemy carried out only one unpromising attack. Overall, in the Kursk direction, where Ukrainian forces are holding the line, the enemy conducted 17 assaults, most of which were successfully repelled — the struggle for control over the region continues, and the situation remains tense. The overall summary for this day shows that Ukrainian soldiers remain unbreakable and capable of resisting significant enemy forces — fighting continues in many directions and requires constant high concentration and courage. Ukraine continues to reclaim its lands and protect civilians from aggression despite all difficulties and challenges.
