Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, made an important statement regarding the situation at the frontline. According to him, Ukrainian troops have managed not only to stabilize the situation on the key Pokrovske sector in Donetsk oblast but also, in some areas, to even seize the initiative from the enemy. This has inspired sympathy and gratitude among colleagues for their courage and high professionalism during this difficult period of the war. According to official information, Syrskyi emphasized that the Pokrovske direction remains one of the most intense and challenging parts of the front in the context of the Russia-Ukraine war. However, despite the significant challenges, Ukrainian military personnel demonstrated extraordinary resilience and perseverance, which allowed them not only to stabilize the defensive line but also to make substantial progress in repelling enemy advances. The head of Ukraine's military authority highlighted that this success resulted from coordinated actions and the professionalism of our defenders. He stressed that thanks to the bravery and skillful military operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they have managed not only to maintain control but also to begin taking tactical initiatives, forcing the enemy to operate under heightened tension. Syrskyi noted that in the process of strengthening positions, specific combat achievements of individual units played an important role. During his recent working visit to army units, the Commander-in-Chief particularly praised the combat mastery and dedication of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment "Skala." This unit has established itself as one of the most effective elite formations, employing active defensive tactics and destroying the enemy, leaving no chance for success. During a meeting with troops, General Syrskyi awarded several dozen combat units and individual soldiers, confirming that the fighting spirit and high level of training of Ukrainian defenders remain at the highest standards. The soldiers demonstrate resilience and readiness for any challenges, managing not only to repel enemy attacks but also to gradually advance, regaining control over their territory. While the situation on the Pokrovske direction remains tense, it demonstrates that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are capable of operating successfully in difficult conditions, launching counteroffensives, and regaining control over strategically important sectors of the front. These successes inspire Ukrainian military personnel and all patriots of the country fighting for independence and territorial integrity.
