This diplomatic step indicates a deepening of cooperation between the two countries and highlights the importance of collaboration in the context of contemporary geopolitical challenges. According to information sources, particularly pages of "Novynky" and "European Pravda," the aircraft carrying the head of the Ukrainian state and his wife, Olena, landed at Václav Havel Airport in Prague on Sunday before noon. This visit became a significant event for Ukrainian-Czech relations, marking a new stage in their development. After arrival, according to official statements, in the second half of the day, Czech President Petr Pavel hosted President Zelenskyy at Prague Castle. This meeting is of special importance, as it became part of an informal diplomatic dialogue between the two countries aimed at revitalizing cooperation in security, economic, and humanitarian areas. The Czech presidential administration confirmed in comments that the two sides discussed current issues in bilateral relations and prospects for further cooperation. Notably, for Petr Pavel, this was his second visit to Ukraine during his time in office, the first being in March of this year. During this period, he repeatedly reaffirmed his support for Ukraine, including during his July visit to Kyiv, where he met with President Zelenskyy and discussed strategic cooperation and Ukraine's territorial integrity. It is also worth mentioning that Zelenskyy’s visit to the Czech Republic is not his first. In July 2023, he also visited Prague, although there was no official announcement beforehand, indicating current intense diplomatic dynamics and a desire to maintain informal contacts and dialogues without overt publicity. Overall, this visit is an important aspect of Ukrainian-Czech relations within the framework of global challenges such as the war in Ukraine and support from European partners. It demonstrates the strength of friendship and the mutual desire of both countries to develop cooperation in key areas, contributing to Ukraine’s efforts to defend its independence and pursue European integration.
