Tense situation in Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region has been ongoing for the third consecutive day. Over the past 24 hours, the city experienced a series of attacks by Russian forces, resulting in injuries to two civilians and damage to residential buildings. Official sources confirm that the enemy opened fire three times during the day on the peaceful neighborhoods of Kupiansk, using artillery and other weaponry, causing not only destruction but also dangerous situations for residents. The first attack, which occurred early in the morning at 4:00 am, was quite powerful — Russian troops used a so-called "KABU" (missile complex), leading to damage to a private house in the city. The strike damaged a residential building, and one neighbor reported that the explosion caused a power outage and started a fire. Fortunately, there were no human casualties in this incident. The second enemy attack came around 6:00 am. As a result of the shelling, another residential building was destroyed, but miraculously, there were no casualties among local residents. However, the situation was tense, as the destruction had already inflicted significant damage on the housing stock. People were forced to seek shelter and received first aid from the local medical services. The most alarming incident occurred around 15:50, when Russian forces again opened fire on Kupiansk using artillery. This led to a fire in a private house. Two civilians were injured — a 52-year-old man experienced a severe stress reaction, and an 89-year-old woman was wounded by glass. The latter was urgently hospitalized to receive necessary medical assistance. According to representatives of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the situation in Kupiansk remains tense. Russian troops continue to deliberately target civilian infrastructure, aiming to sow fear and destruction in the city. Official authorities call on residents to exercise caution and follow safety rules during sirens and alerts. Overall, in just one day, the city registered three separate shelling incidents and destructions, underscoring the high cost of life in a zone of active combat. The local authorities and security services are working to eliminate the consequences of the destruction and assist the victims, but the situation remains tense, and the risk of new attacks is high. Residents of Kupiansk continue to live in a state of anxiety, awaiting the time when they can return to a more or less stable life.
