The frontline remains tense: on Sunday, Ukrainian defense forces engaged in over 200 combat encounters with Russian invaders, including more than 80 of them on the Pokrovsk direction, which remains one of the hottest spots in this multi-faceted situation

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10 p.m., Ukrainian soldiers are successfully holding the line; a total of 201 combat engagements took place during the day, and enemy actions have suffered significant setbacks, particularly in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka directions. Specifically, in the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 70 attacks by Russian troops, and 12 active clashes are still ongoing at the height of the fighting. The occupiers are trying to break through the Ukrainian defenses in the areas of Hnativka, Myrolubivka, Promin, Novoserhiivka, and Starymykolaivka. They also attempted to breach Ukrainian lines in the regions of Nova Poltavka, Oleksiivka, Bahatyri, Malynivka, Dachenske, Zvirove, Novooleksandrivka, Udačne, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Kotlyarivka, Troitske, Andriivka, and Bohdanivka. In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders managed to neutralize 177 enemies in this sector, of which 103 were permanently eliminated, highlighting the high accuracy and bravery of Ukrainian soldiers who retain their positions even under the most difficult conditions. In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy conducted 40 attacks toward the settlements of Kostyantynopol, Rivnopil, Novopil, Novosilka, and Pryvillne, attempting to break through the Ukrainian line. The invaders also launched assaults in the directions of Zelene Polye, Shevchenko, and Bahatyri, with three attacks still ongoing. On the Lyman direction, Russian invaders launched 22 attacks over the past day in an attempt to break through Ukrainian positions near Novyi, Kopanok, Tverdochlibove, Kolodyazi, as well as in the directions of Zelenyi Doly, Lypove, Olhivka, and Ridkodub. In one combat engagement, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled enemy assaults; another clash remains ongoing. On the Kursk direction, Ukrainian forces managed to halt 20 enemy attack attempts, with two active battles continuing. According to the General Staff, the occupiers concentrated their efforts in the Toretske and Druzhba areas, trying to breach Ukrainian defenses, but all attacks were successfully repelled. Significant fighting also occurs on the Kharkiv direction, where the enemy made four attempts to break through Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk, Stroiivka, and Tykhyi. At the same time, Russian military aircraft carried out strikes on the areas of Zahariivka, Rubizhne, and Vovchansk, indicating increased aerial activity on this front. In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian defensive lines in the areas of Holubiivka, Petropavlivka, and near Pishane, Hlushkivka, and Nove Osynove. Ukrainian troops again repelled 4 of 4 attacks, demonstrating resilience and quick response in difficult conditions. Three more active clashes are ongoing. On the Siverskyi direction, the past day saw three combat engagements near Hryhoriivka and Verkhnokamianske. Enemy attempts to advance were successfully repelled by defenders; another clash is still ongoing. Similar situations are observed on the Kramatorsk direction, where one combat engagement continues near Stupochki. Ukrainian soldiers halted nine Russian assaults in the areas of Maiiske, Bilohira, and near Chasiv Yar. The Ukrainian Air Forces continue to support the defense at the front. On the Huliaipole direction, the invaders carried out five air strikes in the areas of Vysoke and also struck Huliapol. Fighting also continues in the Orikhiv direction, where Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks in the areas of Nova Andriivka, Piatykhatky, and Stepove, while the enemy launched guided bomb strikes on the Orikhiv area. In the Dnipro direction, the enemy once again used aviation to attack settlements of Vesele, Beryslav, and Burgunka, attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses and causing destruction and panic behind Ukrainian lines among both military personnel and civilians. The situation remains extremely tense, but Ukrainian defenders stand firm daily, destroying the enemy even under the most difficult conditions, demonstrating unwavering discipline and courage in this ongoing struggle for Ukraine’s independence and freedom.
