Russian drones once again flew over Kherson, causing destruction and injuring civilians
On Sunday, May 4th, the city of Kherson once again became a target of aggression by Russian invaders, who used drones to attack the peaceful population of the region. According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, two residents of the city — a man and a woman — were injured as a result of two separate attacks and are currently hospitalized. The most serious reports are the civilian injuries that occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. According to official sources, a Russian drone hit a 29-year-old man. As a result, the man was seriously wounded: he sustained an explosive head injury and a concussion. Medical professionals quickly provided assistance, but his condition remains critical. Another attack took place a few hours later in the Korable district of Kherson. Russian drones dropped explosives that fell on civilian vehicles. As a result, a 40-year-old woman sustained serious injuries: an explosive head injury, shrapnel wounds to her spine and legs. Medical staff assess her condition as moderate; she is currently under round-the-clock supervision. This is not the first incident in recent times where Russian aggressors have used drones to attack Kherson and the region. For example, last Sunday, the city was tense, and reports from neighboring regions indicate a significant number of casualties. In general, since the beginning of May, the situation in the region has worsened again. On May 4th, at least six people in Donetsk region received injuries due to missile and drone attacks by Russian forces. Additionally, in Dnipropetrovsk region, a tragic incident occurred — a man was killed during a shelling, and three others were wounded. These events once again highlight the high danger for civilians and the escalation of hostilities in southern and eastern Ukraine. Local authorities urge residents to remain cautious and follow safety rules, as the enemy continues to deliberately attack the peaceful population to sow fear and destruction. Meanwhile, Ukrainian defenders are diligently holding the line, making every effort to restore safety and stabilize the situation in the region.
