According to preliminary reports, at least two residents of the region were killed, and one was injured during the attacks carried out by the Russian army on May 3. This information was confirmed by Vadym Filaśkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, who shared the details on his official Telegram channel. According to him, the number of victims may be higher due to missile and artillery strikes, but so far, only two deaths and one injury are confirmed. The most significant damage was recorded in Myrnohrad, where Russian occupiers fired at private houses. A 56-year-old man became a victim of the enemy shelling, which claimed his life. Six private residential buildings were damaged as a result of the strikes. This is yet another example of how aggressive and destructive Russian attacks on peaceful residents and their homes are. Another tragic incident was recorded in the village of Komar, where a 69-year-old man died. In addition to the human losses, in Kostiantynivka, one local resident was wounded. Besides the human tragedies, Russian shells also destroyed private residential areas, damaging numerous buildings, which creates additional difficulties for residents in recovery and returning to normal life. Yevhen Shevchenko, advisor to the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, noted that the situation in the region remains tense. Russian forces are actively shelling, forcing local residents to constantly seek shelter and endure a new wave of destruction and human tragedy. Evacuation efforts and assistance to the affected are ongoing, but despite these efforts, a safe environment has not yet been achieved. This Saturday’s attack is yet another reminder that the conflict in Donetsk continues to bring destruction, pain, and loss. Local communities have once again come under fire, and issues related to infrastructure recovery, psychological support, and security on the front lines remain urgent. Authorities emphasize the need for increased international support and greater efforts to end the aggression, as every day Ukrainian cities and villages pay a high price for peace.
