A large-scale air defense deployment took place in Kyiv due to enemy targets

On the morning of May 3, the capital of Ukraine — Kyiv — once again came under fire from enemy missiles or drones. At 5:47 AM, an air raid siren was announced in the city, which lasted almost until the early morning hours. During this time, security forces, including air defense units, intensified their efforts to neutralize potential threats from the sky. An official source, Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) Head Tymur Tschachenko, confirmed that at this time, air defense systems were operational in the capital. In his operational report, he emphasized the importance of staying in safe places, noting: “Air defense is active in Kyiv; stay in safe locations!” This warning was issued at 5:58 AM and served as a signal for residents — enemy shells and drones were actively targeting the city's airspace. According to the information gathered at that time, Kyiv’s air defense forces, equipped with modern means, were suppressing enemy targets. This was an attempt to destroy or repel threats that could endanger residents' lives and infrastructure. Since such attacks aim to make life difficult for Ukrainians, security measures were strengthened, and the protection of strategic facilities was enhanced. At 6:06 AM, the alarm was declared over, indicating that, according to preliminary data, the danger had passed and the situation in the capital had stabilized. Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities and the military continue to urge residents not to ignore the siren signals and to remain in shelter to avoid unforeseen consequences. These events once again remind us of the ongoing tension in the eastern part of the country and the need to remain alert at all times. Kyiv residents have experienced a moment of alarm once more and are reminded that, in the war with Russia, safety is the most valuable, and the support of air defense systems is a vital component of the defense of the Ukrainian capital and the country as a whole.
