The total number of injured in Zaporizhzhia has increased to 28 persons: consequences of the Russian drone attack

Zaporizhzhia has once again suffered from large-scale aggression by Russian forces. According to the latest information obtained from Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the number of casualties resulting from the morning mass drone strike has already reached 28 people. This represents a significant increase in victims compared to initial reports, which indicated 14 injured. Official data states that Russian terrorists cynically targeted the city’s civilian infrastructure, which had already suffered numerous damages from previous shelling. Enemy drones struck residential neighborhoods, destroyed several private houses, and damaged city infrastructure facilities, including a university building and critical energy supply objects. The extent of the destruction and casualties is reported by Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration. He stated that Russian troops cynically bombed the civilian population, deliberately hitting residential areas and essential facilities for the residents. As a result of the strike, not only residential buildings were damaged but also educational institutions and infrastructure objects, affecting the daily life of the residents of Zaporizhzhia. The background of this tragedy dates back to the evening of May 1, when, according to preliminary information, Russian occupation forces launched at least 10 missile strikes on Zaporizhzhia using drones. These actions caused several large fires on the outskirts of the city, complicating the situation and creating additional tension. Earlier reports indicated that 14 people were injured as a result of this attack – 10 men and 4 women. Of these, nine were taken to medical facilities for necessary assistance, and another five received first aid on site. However, the latest data shows that the number of injured has rapidly increased and now stands at 28 people, many of whom require serious medical treatment. This attack serves as a further reminder of the constant danger faced by Zaporizhzhia residents and the scale of destruction caused by Russian aggression. The local authorities urge residents to remain calm and follow safety recommendations, aiming to minimize the consequences of such attacks and provide necessary aid to all victims. Work is ongoing to assess the extent of the damage and restore infrastructure, but the situation remains tense and unpredictable.
