Russian drones again attacked Kherson: there are casualties and a destroyed vehicle
On Tuesday, May 2, quiet life in the central districts of Kherson was once more disrupted by a sudden and brutal attack by Russian forces using unmanned aerial vehicles. According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the attack occurred around 13:00, when explosions and gunfire sounds were heard in the city center from a drone. The official reports that a sabotage drone struck a parking lot located in the heart of Kherson. As a result, one car was burned, and several others were damaged. The attack also caused human casualties. Preliminary information indicates that two local residents aged 52 and 60 were injured during the attack. They were immediately hospitalized and are receiving comprehensive medical care. The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration emphasizes that the situation is currently under control and that emergency services are responding to the attack’s aftermath. Prokudin also notes that this is not the first such attack on the city center, highlighting the high level of threat to civilians and the need to strengthen protection of civilian infrastructure. Local authorities urge residents to stay calm and pay attention to official updates. At the same time, emergency response services continue to operate in the city, swiftly eliminating the consequences of the attack and providing assistance to those affected. Military experts point out that the aggressor continues to use drones for provocations and damaging civilians, which must be avoided and actively countered. Thus, the situation in Kherson remains tense, and residents are continuing to wait for stabilization and protection from further enemy strikes.
