Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian military forces have continued to actively resist Russian invaders, inflicting significant losses and destroying enemy equipment
According to the official information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, between May 1 and May 2, 2025, Ukrainian defenders eliminated at least 1,110 Russian soldiers and destroyed over three hundred units of enemy military equipment and weaponry. An international analytical center confirms that since the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Russian casualties have reached nearly 1,950,300 personnel, along with a large number of military objects and equipment. Just in the last day, according to publicly available data, Russia lost about 9 tanks, demonstrating the ongoing pressure Ukrainian defenders are exerting on the enemy, as well as five armored combat vehicles, which significantly reduce the mobility and combat effectiveness of the Russian army. Additionally, over the past day, Ukrainian forces destroyed 50 artillery systems, an important factor in restraining enemy attacks and strengthening the defense capabilities of Ukrainian positions. Four air defense systems were also eliminated, helping to minimize risks to Ukrainian aviation and civilian infrastructure. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of tactical-operational level play a significant role in combat operations; over 138 have been neutralized in one day, aiding in intelligence gathering, enemy movement control, and targeting objects behind enemy lines. Regarding automotive equipment and fuel tankers, their number has decreased by 132 units and now amounts to over 46,000, further confirming that Ukrainian forces are actively destroying enemy logistics chains and undermining their rear resources. It should be noted that data on losses during hostilities are constantly being refined and updated, as Ukrainian defenders regularly provide new reports on their successes against the aggressor. Overall, since the beginning of Russia's war against Ukraine, the Ukrainian army has demonstrated a high level of combat effectiveness, contributing to the exhaustion of Russian forces and protecting the territorial integrity of the state.
